What Homing does

Homing is a browser extension that lets you save, compare and track property listings from Rightmove, Zoopla and OnTheMarket. It is designed to help UK homebuyers organise their property search.

Data we collect

Homing does not collect personal information. We do not track your browsing activity, gather analytics, or transmit any data to our servers.

The only data the extension stores is information you explicitly choose to save:

• Property details (address, price, bedrooms, bathrooms, images, EPC rating, council tax band)
• Your notes and star ratings for saved properties
• Mortgage calculator settings (deposit, interest rate, term)
• Your first-time buyer preference

Where your data is stored

All data is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.sync. This means it stays within your Chrome profile and is synced across your signed-in devices by Google, not by us. We have no access to it.

Browser permissions

The extension requests the following permissions:

• Storage — to save your property data locally in your Chrome profile.
• Alarms — to periodically check saved listings for price changes and removals.
• Notifications — to alert you when a saved property’s price drops or the listing is removed.
• Side Panel — the extension’s main interface opens as a side panel alongside the property portal you are browsing.
• Content script access (Rightmove, Zoopla, OnTheMarket) — to read property details from listing pages and inject the save button. The extension only runs on these three sites.

Payments

Premium features are offered via ExtensionPay, which uses Stripe to process payments. Your payment details are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card information.

Third-party services

Other than Stripe (for payment processing), Homing does not share data with any third-party services. There are no analytics tools, advertising networks, or tracking scripts.

Your rights

Because all data is stored locally in your browser, you have full control over it at all times:

• Delete your data — remove individual properties from the extension, or uninstall it to delete all stored data.
• Export your data — premium users can export saved properties as a CSV file.
